Campfire AR Hardware
designed for Campfire @ frog / 2020
Campfire and frog teamed up to build a platform to facilitate remote collaboration on 3D models for designers, architects, and engineers. As a member of frog's industrial design team, I contributed to the creation of Campfire's hardware, including a headset with the market's largest field of view, a tracking device to orient objects in space, and an accessory which turns smartphones into motion controllers.

We leaned into the controls of these products as a user experience differentiator by highlighting the knobs, wires, and touch points in the final design.

Effectively managing large components, especially optical elements, posed a significant challenge. Our focus was on crafting a design that is ergonomic, comfortable, and visually appealing. The resulting design successfully balances comfort, functionality, and a distinct aesthetic.

The console was designed for quick and elegant out-of-the-box assembly, flat packed with magnetic attachment points.
